Holwah is the least exposed and was beaten under a length when third behind Miss Jingles over course and distance last month. Bright Armor comfortably landed the odds at Bath but will probably need to improve again to follow up here. PEROTTO has improved with each outing and didn’t get the run of the race when runner-up to the useful Zamaani at Goodwood last week. Due to go up another 4lb next week, he can take this with the stiff 5f expected to suit. Rania is also improving but steps up a grade for this.
Perotto 7-1 (8-10) Chased leaders, niggled along over 2f out, ridden for effort over 1f out when hampered by winner, hung right 1f out, ran on, 2nd of 8, 1 1/2l behind Zamaani (9-7) at Goodwood 6f (2) gf in Jul.
Bright Armor (IRE) 4-9fav (9-5) Made most, ridden and ran on final furlong, won at Bath 6f mdn stks (5) gf in Jul beating Uncle Dick (9-3) by 4 3/4l, 9 ran.
Onaraggatip 150-1 (8-9) Slowly into stride, off the pace towards rear, headway over 1f out, stayed on towards finish, never nearer, 12th of 25, 5 3/4l behind Happy Romance (8-5) at Newbury 5f stks (2) gd in Jul.
