Park Law can beat Maids Causeway to foil Barry Hills' bid to land this for the second year running, with Shivaree and Queen of Poland interesting contenders as well. Maids Causeway beat Park Law to the tune of two-and-a-half-lengths at Kempton a month ago in a race that was run in stormy conditions. The latter shaped rally well though and it was no real surprise when she duly went one better on a return to Kempton a fortnight ago. She has the scope to be a really useful filly next year, and may well have improved enough to turn the tables on Maids Causeway, who herself had the benefit of a previous outing when the pair clashed. Shivaree was outpaced in the Cherry Hinton and will be much more at home over today's trip, so can give the two main protagonists most to do. It is hard to know just what Queen of Poland achieved when making a winning debut at Yarmouth but she did finish in front of a better-fancied stablemate so can continue to progress. Richard Hannon is double-handed with Bentley's Bush and Vondova who have both displayed winning form this term. Preference is just for the latter, who, along with fellow Newmarket scorer Borthwick Girl, provides even more interest, but Park Law is taken to have the edge on this occasion at least.
