In depth

Verdict

Offemont has improved with each start this term and Noel Chance's gelding has every chance of following up his recent Warwick success here in a race where the main dangers look to be Gaspar and Lorient Express. The last mentioned has claims on the pick of his form but is arguably a shade high in the weights and may he prefer a faster surface. Stablemate Stan also has his best form on better ground than this and of more interest may be Figaro du Rocher, although David Pipe's gelding seems plenty high enough in the weights at present. Caribou will not mind the ground but does need to improve on recent form and a bigger threat may be Irish raider Gaspar, who makes his British debut on ground that clearly suits. Offemont is very much going the right way though and is taken to win again.
