In depth

Verdict

City Streets could hardly have won much more easily than when making a winning debut at Taunton in December and Jonjo O'Neill's gelding looks to be fairly treated for his handicap debut off a mark of just 108 so is taken to follow up here at the main expense of Windsor Boy and Make It A Double. The last mentioned has not been seen since making a winning debut over hurdles at Bangor in April 2005 and has to be respected, especially with trainer Noel Chance more than capable of producing his runners fit after an absence. Heir To Be will be suited by the underfoot conditions but has plenty of weight to carry and may struggle to give weight away all round, while Midas Way looks to be in the grip of the handicapper at present. David Pipe's Windsor Boy is well treated judged by his current chase rating and cannot be discounted but City Streets could have been let in lightly and is preferred.
