Verdict

Consort's dam has produced winners with all of her four foals who have raced and he went to Newmarket in September for his debut where he was very impressive. The third and fourth both won next time out so the form looks strong and he's entered in the St James's Palace Stakes. JOHNNY BARNES (NAP), a winner at Yarmouth and Leicester in his first three starts, went to Saint-Cloud for the Criterium International and though no match for Vert De Glace in that Group 1 run on heavy going it was still a very smart effort. That's the best form on offer and with much more to come he looks the one to be on. Emirates Skycargo won a couple of races on Polytrack before stepping up in grade and finding things more difficult. He's one of three Godolphin entries and it could be the unexposed Ijmaaly, a 12l winner on his only start on good ground at Lingfield, who comes out best of the trio as Secret Brief finished last on his reappearance. White Lake had the latter 2l behind on his debut at Yarmouth in August but disappointed when stepped up to Listed and Group 3 level later.
