Verdict
Quite a competitive novice to end the day at the Durham track with Dilsaa and Prize Ring, both winners, looking up against it under their penalties. The one we prefer is Basinet, who was still going well enough when getting the second last all wrong at Cartmel and paying the penalty. A winner on the flat at up to nine-furlongs, he will be at home on this fast ground and as he meets his conqueror that day, Dilsaa, on 7lbs better terms, that should be enough for him to gain his revenge. Dilsaa was some way behind the selection on the level, but has quickly made up into a far better hurdler. She isn't overly big but her heart is in the right place and she should give a good account. Prize Ring, the winner of a seller on the flat, had no trouble disposing of solitary rival Crosby Donjohn over course and distance earlier this month, but has since been found out under a penalty at Perth, albeit in a better contest than this. Parsifal is capable of better than he has shown so far, but this looks best left to Basinet, who is taken to make amends for his fall last time.
