In depth

Verdict

ASLUKWOODHAVIT started long odds-on at Downpatrick after a very promising debut at Punchestown and though leading for much of the way succumbed tamely when headed inside the final furlong. He'll be at short odds again in this poor contest and has to be given another chance. Quiet Escape was in touch throughout at Clonmel last month but could find no extra while Lough Manor has only shown moderate ability. State Of Fame made a reasonable bumper debut at Thurles and didn't run badly over hurdles at Punchestown in May.
