In depth

Verdict

BELL EX ONE had a barging match with Overheer at Gowran but came out on top and the pair were well clear. The runner-up has performed well subsequently so Ray Cody's charge, who has subsequently finished a very good second behind Social Distance over 1m4f at Roscommon, can go in again. The winner appeared to need every yard of that trip so may not be suited by dropping down. In The Attic has been bought out of Noel Meade's yard and is with the right man to exploit a very lowly mark. Seamie Heffernan has been booked so he rates a major threat. Catherine Chroi stepped up to this trip for the first time at Cork and was only headed in the closing stages after leading 2f out so should give a good account.
