In depth

Verdict

Ballinlough Gale has performed with credit in decent maiden company so looks certain to be thereabouts and was in front of Boola Boola when third to Fil The Power at Gowran last month. However, runner-up that day was SIONNACH EILE, who led in the straight only to be swallowed up in the closing stages. His stable is in fine form and he can get off the mark at just the third time of asking. Shedini, who was a long way behind at Gowran on his debut, did much better at Cork next time.
