Verdict
No speed records will be under threat here and nothing stands out as the bet of the day. However, Dancing King does appeal as the likeliest winner out of this bunch and he is confidently expected to cope with the challenges presented by the likes of Victory Flip and Thunderclap today. Dalraith heads the list of dangers out of the rest but his recent form leaves him with a little to find so he is best left alone for win only purposes in this company. Therefore, Dancing King, who picks up a 6lb penalty for an easy success at Wolverhampton last time, may be given the most think about by Victory Flip, who has at least gone well here in the past. The fact that she is still a maiden after 17 previous starts underlines that she has already had her limitations exposed and she, in turn, will probably have no answers if Dancing King makes this a real test from the outset. Wayne Hogg is making quite a name for himself for northern-based trainers and, as one of the more experienced riders, he is expected to pass this latest test despite the fact he cannot draw on a claim for Dancing King under the terms of today's race.
