Verdict
A tough race to call as a number of the field hold fair claims on the best of their efforts - not least Sorbiesharry, who is marginally preferred over the penalised Fraamtastic, who is upped in class today, and Gracious Air, who is also worthy of consideration despite appearing to be up against it at the weights. The Milton Bradley-trained Lord Chamberline is another that comes into the race with entitlement to respect but has plenty on in giving 8lb to the selection. Therefore, Sorbiesharry, who gained a much deserved success at Wolverhampton last month, edges the vote today. The five-year-old is much better suited to this sort of trip than the intermediate distance he tried last time and, with Saleem Golan taking a handy 4lb off his back, he should make a bold bid to double his tally over this course and distance today.
