Verdict
Bold Cheverak can make experience tell over newcomer Maunby Reveller, with Triffid worth noting in the market. Mick Channon can normally be relied upon to squeeze a win or two out of his all-weather team, and looks to have found the right opportunity for Bold Cheverak to oblige on his third start. His last run is best forgotten as he was eased considerably after losing all chance when running wide into the straight at Lingfield. The extra furlong will help as will his draw in stall two. Pat Haslam has his string in good shape and he should be followed either side of Christmas. With that in mind, any support at all for his debutante Maunby Reveller would be significant. Triffid took time to get going on his Wolverhampton introduction but showed enough to suggest that he can win a small race, and the step up in trip will help his cause today. The strongest claims are held by Bold Cheverak though, and he is a fairly solid selection.
