Verdict
El Pedro can beat stablemate Coolfore Jade, with Eurolink Artemis put up as the other main player in a race that will take little winning. El Pedro has shown that there is a race to be won with him in lowly company on a number of occasions, and returns to the Flat after two spins over timber last month. They were his first outings since May when he ran a fine second in amateur company here at Southwell, and as he will be a lot sharper now, there is no reason for him not to repeat that form at least. That gives him leading claims against his stablemate Coolfore Jade who was fitter than him when finishing a place ahead at Leicester, and who should be held on these terms. Having said that, Coolfore jade is well treated compared to this time last year, and he too should be involved in the finish. Eurolink Artemis had winning form at this level in the spring but is still on the way back after being pulled up as though something was amiss here in June. The rest are woeful, and one of Norman Berry's should be the one, with El Pedro our fancy.
