Verdict
The return to the Flat can help Benbyas regain his confidence and he is selected in preference to Come What July, who has it all to do from top weight, while Perfect Balance has gone well here in his last two starts and can go close to making it third time lucky if he continues to take to the surface. Brother Cadfael, on the other hand, has a fair bit more to do at this level and, despite his recent profile, he looks opposable from 5lb out of the handicap. Stravmour also has a little to prove on these terms and is for the brave only, while Freddie Freccles has form that ties in with the last mentioned and is another to be wary of for win only purposes. Therefore, we stick with Benbyas, who can be a very tough nut to crack when he is on song and, with no obstacles standing in his way, he is expected to be a different proposition this afternoon.
