      Verdict

War Tune lines up fresh after a break and can take the beating in the opener, with Gielgud, Sunshan and Ask For Luck all out to stop him. War Tune quickly made up for lost time when reappearing this year, having been off since 2002. Ian Williams's inmate was placed at Huntingdon and duly went one better at Market Rasen, getting the better of a protracted battle with Red Hustler. He has gone up in the weights but another little break since should ensure that he lines up fit and fancied. Gielgud, second at Fontwell last time, has to shoulder topweight but comes from a stable that had plenty of winners in the 2003-04 season. Ask For Luck makes his chase debut, but former hunter-chaser Sunshan has a low weight and will appreciate the ground. He would probably want a bit further ideally though, and with the rest making no appeal, the Form of War Tune stands out and he is the one to beat.
