Verdict
Ragdale Hall looks to have been lined up for this race and can repeat his April course and distance win. That win came when with Jack Joseph but he's now with Philip Hobbs and is the choice of stable jockey Richard Johnson. Hobbs' other runner is Ticker, who has yet to run for him since coming over from Ireland, where he won at Naas on soft going. Paul Nicholls runs Robyn Alexander, but she is 14lbs higher than for her Taunton win. Happicat is a course and distance winner off today's mark but he has been disappointing since that success. Ei Ei comes here in good heart but has been mainly chasing of late, in which sphere he has won twice here. Martin Pipe is represented by Intox III, who comes here in good heart following a comfortable Newton Abbot win. She certainly has place claims. Of the others, French Mannequin has been running well without winning of late, while Saorsie is eight pounds higher than for his Newton Abbot success earlier in the month. A tricky race, but Ragdale Hall is nominated as the solution.
