Guadaloup took advantage of a dropping mark to win last time out and should go close again, however Zhitomir has also been given a chance by the handicapper and gets the verdict, with Emperor's Well also expected to be in the shake up. Now a nine-year, Zhitomir still retains plenty of ability as he showed when fourth behind Petite Mac at Redcar last time out. The assessor has been very kind and dropped him another three pounds which puts him on his lowest mark for three years. Guadaloup has to contend with a six pound penalty this afternoon which may be enough to stop a follow up although he could still be in the places. Meanwhile Emperor's Well looked on the way back last time out when third to Regent's Secret in a decent enough event at Carlisle. Ya Laite Maite is one to watch out for in the betting on his return to the track, but the pick of the weights this afternoon is Zhitomir and he gets the decision.
