Verdict
Perhaps not as competitive as the numbers would suggest with relatively few coming in to the race in top form. An obvious exception is recent Southwell winner Piccled who should go well but a 6lb penalty may prevent a follow up while Elvington Boy has more on his plate after landing a Ripon claimer last time. Attorney shaped promisingly on his comeback but would ideally prefer more cut in the ground. John O'Groats is back on a winning mark and should strip fitter for his recent outing but the vote goes to Bond Boy. Bryan Smart's charge proved most progressive last backend and may be able to continue where he left off under regular pilot, Paul Eddery.
