Verdict
Not a race that will take much winning and the vote goes to Jagger. Gerard Butler's charge showed little on his sole start last term but appears to have improved a little through the winter on the evidence of his recent start on the all-weather at Lingfield. The son of Linamix looked in need of the experience but ran on encouragingly in the closing stages to finish third and looks the type to show plenty of improvement for the outing. Tripti has shown only a modest level of form and was comfortably held off a mark of 69 in a sprint handicap at Lingfield last time. David Arbuthnot's charge look vulnerable while Nathan Brittles looks very ordinary on last year's form so it would be no surprise if Ginger Jack proved good enough to make an impact on his debut.
