Verdict
Roger Charlton has made an excellent start to the campaign and his Domirati will have plenty of supporters having landed a Lingfield handicap last time. However, that was a weak affair and the son of Emarati looks worth opposing on his first turf start off a 5lb higher mark. Fair Shake caused an upset when a narrow winner at Newcastle last time but this is tougher off a 4lb higher mark and his best efforts have been on easier ground. Percy Douglas has not been seen since disappointing in January and may need the outing while Coracle King showed little on his recent comeback to warrant support so the vote goes to Rectangle. The David Nicholls-trained gelding is a previous course and distance winner and shaped as though coming to hand when a close second in a competitive handicap at Ascot last time. The son of Fayruz has been raised 4lb since but remains unexposed and looks ahead of the handicapper at present.
