Raphael has shown signs of a return to form of late and, with the step up to a mile to suit, Tim Easterby's filly gets the vote ahead of Cayman Breeze and Northern Games. The last mentioned has a bit to find at the weights but Kevin Ryan has his string in good form right now so there could be more to come. Cayman Breeze is difficult to weigh up as he finally opened his account when landing a Catterick maiden last month. Ed Dunlop's gelding looks exposed but there may be more to come over a mile for the first time. There is certainly no problem regarding the trip for Raphael who, despite racing in the main over seven furlongs, has her best form over today's distance. Well treated on her best, the daughter of Perugino looks worth a bet at the forecast odds. Market Avenue and Smith N Allan Oils have both been in good form during the summer but seem to be a shade high in the weight snow as a result, while Royal Windmill, who is retaining his good form well, steps up in class and may find this tougher than the apprentice races he has been in recently. A market move for Pepper Road would be of interest but we are happy to stick with Raphael.
