Generous Jem has been in irresistible form of late and she is readily supported in her bid to land a fourth consecutive success. Philanthropy and Habalwatan can pose a few problems along the way, while Mighty Moon is well weighted today and should not be dismissed lightly. Mighty Moon was put up 7lb for finishing a neck behind the selection when they met at York a fortnight ago but still has a chance of reversing the form on the revised terms. However, his connections will be praying for rain before the off, as he needs a little more give underfoot to be seen at his best. Philanthropy also enjoyed himself on the Knavesmire last time out - bouncing back to form with an emphatic all-the-way victory. He would be dangerous if allowed an easy lead but he does need to prove that he can reproduce the goods at short notice. Habalwatan is versatile and should handle the conditions. However, he looks weighted to the hilt and is vulnerable on these terms. Therefore, we stick with Generous Jem, who has only what has been required of her to land a quick-fire hat-trick. As a hold up horse, it is hard to gauge how much more she has in the locker, but The Generous filly is a straightforward character and, having responded well for Neil Brown here 10 days ago, there are plenty of reasons to give the George Margarson-trained four-year-old another throw of the dice.
