Verdict

Not a race to get heavily involved in and one in which we will take a bit of a chance on Estoille, who is due to go up 10lb very soon, while Ahgowangowan and Queen Of Night should give their running and be thereabouts. The selection is probably due to be raised as a result of her most recent outing, when three lengths adrift of the in-form Wunderbra at Southwell. That was by far her best effort to date, and with her sire Paris House a proven performer with cut underfoot then she should benefit from this soft ground and is a very tentative choice to score. Ahgowangowan won in good to soft at Hamilton in June but has been in the grip of the handicapper since and things may get only marginally better here, while trip and ground should suit Queen Of Night, who is dropping back to a winning mark again and could go close. Nevertheless, Estoille may just be coming right and we take her to small stakes.
