Verdict

The punters should decide the most likely hunter and in the absence of market information, Montys Tag is selected ahead of Persian Hero and Rebel Army. The selection is getting on in years but retains some ability despite losing much of his pace. He was outpaced at High Easter on his most recent start between the flags but is a previous winner at Towcester and this counts for a lot at this level. Persian Hero is a prolific winner between the flags and finally got off the mark at Warwick under rules. He can make the odd mistake or two and going conditions are markedly different. Hold-up performer, Rebel Army scored recently between the flags although he is yet to convince under rules. Castlemore has a useful rider booked and should have few problems with the prevailing going. Be My Dream often has headgear but this is dispensed with on this occasion. Julian Pritchard rates an interesting booking under the circumstances. Lady Baronette is fresh from victory in a Mollington point and is watched in the market. A difficult race and Montys Tag is offered up to minimum stakes.
