    Verdict

Colonel Potter rates as a speculative selection to see off Li Lo Bosh and Pharanto. Donald McCain's charge is certainly bred for speed with a number of six and seven furlong specialists in the pedigree and in what looks to be a poor race on paper, he appears to hold more positive claims than most. Li Lo Bosh has been easy to back on two starts thus far. He did show a little glimmer of ability in a stronger heat at Huntingdon so the market is watched. Pharanto is a winner between the flags over two-and-a-half miles and has cheekpieces applied. The hold up performer should not be dismissed lightly.Otarie does not look to be one of the stable star's at Alan King's training operation while Aintnonancy is closely related to staying chaser, Optimistic Alfie, so could find things happening plenty quick enough. An obvious chance for Colonel Potter to score on debut if he is able to live up to the promise in his pedigree.
