Verdict

Di's Dilemma deserves to get her head in front after a string of placed efforts and is given the vote to do so at the main expense of The Hairy Lemon and Euro Bleu. The last mentioned failed to take to the larger obstacles earlier this season and showed signs of a return to form at Kempton last time so has to be respected. Top weight Andy Gin has given little sign of encouragement of late and is difficult to recommend on recent evidence and of more interest may be the six-year-old Errol, who won at Doncaster in January but is now 8lbs higher and has struggled off similar marks recently. The lightly raced Hattington has claims on his debut in a handicap but he looks to be the stable second string behind The Hairy Lemon. Richard Johnson's mount has shown enough to suggest that he can play a part in a race of this nature and he rates the main danger to Di's Dilemma. Chris Bealby's mare has performed with great consistency all season, including over course and distance, and a reproduction of recent form should suffice in this company.
