In depth
Verdict
Moor Lane was particularly impressive at Sandown last time and if in the same mood again should be too good for his main rivals Lancastrian Jet and Paddy For Paddy. The last mentioned has done little wrong of late with wins at Huntingdon and Folkestone but this represents a stiffer assignment for Guy Landau's gelding. Anything that Caoline Bailey sends out in this grade warrants respect and Denvale is no exception, while Swincombe lost no caste in defeat behind the improving Cobreces (a winner again since) at Leicester last time. Lancastrian Jet holds solid claims at his best but has not had the best of luck on previous visits here having twice unseated his rider in three starts and, regardless of a clear round today, he may have to settle for a minor role behind Moor Lane. Andrew Balding's gelding is the clear form pick and a reproduction of his Sandown run should suffice.
