In depth

Verdict

PERCY'S WORD (NAP) may have come across an above-average summer sort in Wicked West at Southwell when nicely clear of the rest, and there seems no reason why 2m4f will not prove within his compass on forecast good ground. Crystal Gazing has been mainly disappointing for Nicky Henderson for some time but connections are persisting with the daughter of Sulamani and her best run in the last 18 months came over this trip on good ground. Zafar showed bits and pieces for Philip Hobbs in handicaps, so is interesting back in maiden company on a first run for Donald McCain. King's Counsel made a respectable debut at Ffos Las but needs to improve again.
