Verdict
Not a strong race and Martin Pipe's debutant Wyn Dixie would not have to be anything out of the ordinary to score, with dangers being Gigs Bounty, Master Jackson, It's Harry and Kindle Ball. The selection is just that because of the Pipe-McCoy factor, and the fact that there is not too much else to go on. The market might provide some clues too. Gig's Bounty is from the in-form Mark Pitman yard and is making his hurdling debut after showing promise in bumpers. Master Jackson has also shown bumper promise, while It's Harry at least has hurdling experience, having finished fourth in a run-of-the-mill novice event at Bangor. Venetia Wiliams French-bred runner, Kindle Ball, showed promise on her hurdling debut and should go well, although she will need to jump better than she did on that occasion. Overall, then, the safest option is to stick with Pipe, McCoy and Wyn Dixie.
