Verdict
Alleged Affair might hold the answer here, with possibly Lancier d'Estruval providing the best alternative. The selection ran with some promise on his Doncaster debut and four of the eight that finished ahead of him that day have won since. The French import Lancier d'Estruval is hard to assess but, being by a good French sire in Epervier Bleu, could well go well. Maybe the market will provide some clues. Tails I Win was tailed off in a better event on heavy going at Sandown on his sole run but did race keenly, as did Double Emblem in his last effort, his first outside of the pointing fields. Ginger McCain's Overbury filly, Just Lambrini, might go well in what is only a modest affair. Springbrook Girl, by the Champion Hurdler Alderbrook, comes into the reckoning on that basis too. However, in a fairly impossible race to get a handle on, watch the betting market. If that provides no clues then maybe Alleged Affair can provide the answer.
