In depth

Verdict

A number with claims on their best form and the problem lies in trying to ascertain which one will produce it this afternoon. Dandygrey Russett is selected ahead of Pipers Legend but we'll be keeping a close eye on Nicki Boy in the betting. The selection comes here in decent form having won over course in distance three starts back and finishing a decent third over the same trip here last time. She has work to do according to official ratings but they may not prove to be the most reliable guide in this company and she should be in the mix. Pipers Legend drops in grade after a couple of runs over fences and has claims in this company if reproducing his best form. Nicki Boy has been off the track for some time but is another whose old form puts him in the picture; his yard can get one ready after an absence and the market usually tells the story. Chunky Lad, Bond Cruz and Kingscourt Lad are amongst others that could go well but we'll be hoping that it's Dandygrey Russett who has her head in front on the line.
