Nine go for the second race on the card at Warwick, a juvenile maiden that looks best left to Incise, with Red Trance, Happy Crusader and Tregarron likely to fight out the places. This is a big drop in grade for Brian Meehan's filly after her exploits so far. She came up against the useful La Cucaracha on her Newbury debut, finishing a highly creditable third before chasing home Russian Valour in the Listed National Stakes at Sandown. She was then asked to take on the best young sprint fillies in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot and can be considered unlucky not to finish closer than ninth as Pat Eddery was stopped in his tracks when about to make a move from the back at halfway. She ran on gamely when extricated and must surely gain due reward here. Happy Crusader was a big disappointment at Nottingham after his promising third to Kheleyf at York and is best watched. On a line through La Cuchara, Red Trance has it to do with the favourite, and on breeding really does need another furlong, so Tregarron may be the one to chase Incise home. Richard Hannon's colt ran green at Haydock on his second racecourse outing but showed good speed to halfway. Related to high-class sprinter Tomba, a bit of cut would not come amiss and he should pay to follow. On this occasion though, all roads lead to Incise.
