        Verdict

        In an interesting finale, Trafalgar Day looks capable of outstaying Olimpo and Lady Romanov. Lady Romanov has won three of her ten starts, and benefitted from slipping down the handicap when scoring at Yarmouth last time. She has not been tried in ground this testing but she should cope with it, although a seven pound rise in the ratings may be prohibitive. Olimpo has progressed as the season has gone on, and duly justified favouritism at Chepstow last time, a track he has won at previously. He looks set to be in the shake up despite joint top weight. Trafalgar Day won over this course and distance last time in suprmely impressive fashion. He was expected to do so, and carries a six pound penalty here, but he is clearly progressing and will be hard to stop here. If handling the heavy conditions, he has won with cut in the ground, Trafalgar Day can score again.
