        Verdict

Lukeys Luck won at Uttoxeter last month and made a bold bid to follow up under a penalty at Ludlow. Jennie Candlish's five-year-old is one for the short-list here as he should confirm that latest running with Nouailhas. Before Bruce is still a maiden but hasn't been running badly and makes more appeal than pointer Gaspar and the inconsistent Aperitif. But we'll take a chance on the fitness of EDGEBURY, who may have had the run of the race when scoring at Towcester in the spring but looks the type to improve further this season and isn't badly treated on his return with regular pilot Peter Carberry claiming 5lb.
