Verdict

Exeter third Staigue Fort looks the pick of those with previous experience but there are a number of nicely-bred newcomers here with potential. Dalavar is well connected, while Secret Manner cost connections £12,000 at the May sales and will be interesting when going jumping. THE NEW ONE gets the vote today, however, as he's closely related to French middle-distance winner La Cagnotte so shouldn't be short of pace over this trip. Billesley Road is also Flat-bred and another to consider if the market speaks in his favour.
