Verdict
Heir To Be is likely to be at short odds for this novices' hurdle but may not represent much in the way of value and preference is for Woodlands Genpower, who gets the vote ahead of Mandica. The selection had decent form in bumpers, winning twice but running his best races in defeat, and while he has yet to set the world alight over hurdles this represents a big drop in class for Philip Pritchard's stable star. At the odds, he make more appeal than Heir To Be who has done little wrong since being switched to hurdles having found just Kingsbay too good on his debut prior to opening his account here last time. The return to further may not suit the son of Elmaamul as much as the selection though and Woodlands Genpower is preferred. Mandica has shown signs of ability and is worthy of consideration along with Jim Old's lightly raced Durante but, in a poor contest, Woodlands Genpower gets the vote.
