Verdict
A wide open handicap here with many in form rivals in opposition and many can be given chances on their best form but the principals look to be Wellington Hall, Great View, Dance World and Smart John and the vote goes to Wellington Hall. The selection is one of the least exposed in the field and won well last time out despite still showing signs of greenness. He is sure to have improved for the run and he is taken to win again under conditions that suit.Great View rates the main danger on his best form but he just gave the impression the handicapper was catching up with him when in mid-division behind Desert Island Disc last time and for that reason he is opposed. Dance World is another worthy of respect he won well last time out when defeating Turtle Patriarch but he is not proven over this trip and he is passed over on this occasion. Smart John is sure to run his honest race but he does not win as much as he should and he has only won on fast ground. Of the remainder Silver Prophet won well last time out but that was over a shorter trip and this looks much more competitive and for the winner we return to the unexposed Wellington Hall.
