Verdict

Another uninspiring contest made up of moderate performers and few can boast to come here having shown solid form of late. Docduckout appreciated the drop in to this grade when successful over 7f at Southwell last month and makes a quick reappearance after flopping in a handicap (off a mark of 60) over course and distance on Saturday. The James Eustace-trained should make his presence felt at this level but may have to settle for minor honours behind Platinum Boy. The son of Goldmark was a little below his best last time but had previously shown a consistent level of form including a selling win over C&D in December and a placed effort in a handicap on a return visit last month. A reproduction will make him hard to beat and there may be a little improvement to come in the first-time visors. Sir Night takes an ease in grade while Moon Jaguar is lightly raced and is capable of further progress but neither have shown enough to warrant support.
