        Verdict

        A modest bunch of stayers provides a low-key finale to the card but Beauchamp Magic has plenty going for him and is given the nod. Gerard Butler's charge is not the most straightforward or consistent but the eight-year-old has dropped to a most attractive mark and showed signs of a return to form last time when second over this trip in a Lingfield seller. The son of Northern Park has every chance on his course and distance win off a 1lb higher mark in 2000 and has the services of Ian Mongan who rides the track exceptionally well. Ulshaw looks held off his current mark despite his placed efforts of late and is likely to struggle to concede 8lb to the selection. Hot Love has been in fair form over shorter but, along with recent claiming hurdles winner Robbie Can Can, has yet to prove she stays this trip.
