Verdict

Scary Night impressed with her attitude to justify strong support when handing out a comfortable length-and-three-quarters defeat of Lightsabre over this trip at Southwell last month. The latter went on to frank the form when just touched off next time and is now 6lb better off but may have to settle for minor honours once again behind John Balding's progressive gelding who looks capable of further improvement and can defy top weight. Park Star is on a hat-trick bid and had the selection behind when scoring over the minimum trip at Southwell last month but is far from certain to confirm the form on 8lb worse terms for three-parts-of-a-length. Blonde En Blonde has more to do after a narrow win in a claimer over course and distance last time but Star Lad will appreciate the return to this trip after finding 5f an inadequate test and can reach the frame.
