Verdict
Daisy Bucket gets a tentative vote over Sol Rojo, with Lillas Forest and Lorna Dune others to consider. This is not an event to lose sleep over, but a small interest in Daisy Bucket may pay dividends. David Simcock's filly ploughed through testing conditions to open her account at Brighton in August, suggesting that she had plenty of stamina. She has though been well beaten on two subsequent outings, both in nursery company, and will appreciate the drop in grade today. She definitely has ability, but did flash her tail under pressure and so may have her own ideas about the game. With that in mind, it would not do to row in too heavily, but she is lumbered with the vote. Sol Rojo took on better company on two visits here last month and was unlucky in running behind Kangrina. He should also be in the shake-up, while Lillas Forest comes from a shrewd yard that ticks over nicely every winter. Lorna Dune picked up a seller at Yarmouth in September but that is about her level, and for the winner we return to Daisy Bucket.
