Verdict
Jagged, Merdiff, Prince of Gold and Sundried Tomato are the four we like here and the vote is given to the last mentioned. The selection goes well here and although he has been a little disappointing of late, he hinted that he might be returning to form when fifth behind Freak Occurrence at Southwell last time. If he could run anywhere near his best he would be difficult to beat and at the likely odds he looks worth taking a chance on. Jagged rates the main danger as he won well on this track over 5 furlongs when just beating Byo last time. Although he is effective over this extra furlong he has never won over this trip and for that reason we will take him on. Prince of Gold and Merdiff have both shown improved form of late since being dropped in trip, and they are closely-matched on their recent run over this course and distance when the latter narrowly prevailed. Neither will be far away at the finish here, but we are happy to stick with Sundried Tomato as our idea of the winner.
