In depth

Verdict

Recent winner Peruvian Prince gets the nod here ahead of Second Reef and Symbol Of Peace. The selection won well four days ago when beating the well-touted Happy As Larry over course and distance, and although he has a penalty for that victory he may be able to defy it to record another victory. The main danger could be Symbol Of Peace who was better away when winning his maiden just four days ago, and if breaking smartly today he could be on a fair mark. Buscador scraped home in a similar contest when making all and has the draw to try similar tactics again, although he may find it harder today. Second Reef is solid if unspectacular and could fight it out for some place money, along with Generous Lad and Barbirolli. However, the tentative vote goes to Richard Fahey's Peruvian Prince.
