Verdict
A race that makes very limited appeal as a betting medium as, between them they have only beaten a total of thirty horse home in their combined twenty visits to the track - Hunting Tiger accounting for eleven of them and thus getting the vote tonight. Grand Girl and Tiger Dawn are others to watch in the betting, while Love Attack - a half-sister to a debutante winner - would not even have to be of ordinary ability to take a hand here. The market will give us the best clues where the daughter of Sri Pekan is concerned. Grand Girl was 40/1 when she last raced and was beaten accordingly. However, Duroob boosted the form at Redcar yesterday and she could have a little more to offer if she handles the surface. However, she is unlikely to represent much value if the layers take the view that piece of form is reliable and it may pay to look for a less obvious choice. Which brings in Tiger Hunter, who was not beaten far when he raced on the polytrack at Lingfield. It is worth noting that Kieren Fallon and Jimmy Fortune were the booked for his first two starts - so must have shown somebody something at some point in training. So, assuming that a double figure price is available, Hunting Tiger appeals as the punters choice in a woeful race to be getting involved with.
