In depth

Verdict

This could be another one Paul Hanagan, as Flying Bantam takes slender preference to Jilly Why and Saviours Spirit, who head the list of alternatives. The latter can be a little free in the early stages but responds well to strong handling. Which he will obviously get with Kieren Fallon doing the steering. However, he has struggled in handicaps of late and others make more appeal tonight. Jilly Why failed to handle the kick-back when she raced here in February and has a little to prove regarding an artificial surface. Still, this area is a level playing field for them all and any support for her tonight will be interesting. However, Flying Bantam arrives here with his confidence boosted after a comfortable success at Ripon and, as he has plenty more to offer, Hanagan can prove to be the man to be with again here.
