        Verdict

        We will shortlist Catbang and Orchard Supreme but select Daaweitza. Jimmy The Guesser was disappointing last time, having won the time before, but you have to give him some thought now that he is fitted with first-time blinkers. Ochre Bay was a length behind him in that race and is now two pounds better off. However, Daaweitza was ahead of the pair and cheekpieces might now eke out more improvement. That's the case for the defence anyway. Mr Rigsby's wins have come in sellers. Orchard Supreme, who races in a first-time visor today, had the running-on Catbang just a short head behind him over course and distance last time, but the latter, who showed improvement there, remains interesting although the draw could have been kinder. Trombone Tom finished a length behind the pair of them that day and the same terms apply today. Finally, Tiber Tilly will probably prefer today's trip to last time but, to be fair, his mark seems no better than fair, and Garlogs ran well over Southwell's five furlongs last time but has a featherweight to carry so could go well. Overall, though, we will stick with Daaweitza.
