        Verdict

        Stargazer Jim needed every yard of the trip last time out, and stepping up in distance today he is taken to get his head in front again at the main expense of War At Sea, Ardea Brave and Quince. The selection represents the in-from Willie Haggas and looks sure to appreciate the step up to twelve furlongs, as should Quince who has been finishing his races well and who steps up for the first time. He is bred to get this trip so should go close. Ardea Brave ran up a hat-trick of wins in August and September, however he was well held when seen last time and may be in the grip of the handicapper now. War At Sea was purchased by Tony Carroll after winning a claimer last time out, however that wasn't the greatest of events and he would need to step on on that effort to trouble the judge today. Another last time out winner was Shout, however that was a maiden and on his first foray into handicap company he can be taken on with the selection who has won both of his all-weather starts to date and will be looking to make it three out of three.
