In depth
Verdict
Our shortlist here consists of Nimello, Kew Green, Master Theo and Dower House, with the vote going to Kew Green. There are no less than six course and distance winners in the line-up for this race and we will stick with that form in trying to crack the code of finding this race's winner. Firstly, Nimello is now four pounds below the mark from which he won here in April, but Najaaba needs to improve on his best to score. Much as he was just beaten into second off his revised mark at Lingfield last time, the form of Kew Green's win over course and distance the time before reads well and he should go well back at this venue. In fact, a couple of interesting races to look at are that Kew Green defeat plus a course and distance affair of January 5. Basically, if you use Cordial as the link then Kew Green and Master Theo are evenly matched, Dower House does not have much to find and Danelor has around five pounds to find on that form in order to win today. It all makes for an interesting contest. Of the non-course and distance scorers, Czarina Waltz is now six pounds below the mark from which she won at Lingfield in July 2003, although others, as you might have gathered, hold better course and distance form. This is a race to look forward to and, once again, the vote goes to Kew Green.
