In depth

Verdict

Martin Pipe can chalk up another win here with Intox III, who does look exposed, but his attacking style of running means that he can get away from them to win, with Dabarpour and Feanor the probable dangers. Intox III is always seen to best effect when there is a firm surface around, and he will get that here. A good jumper, he can bounce off the ground, take the race by the scruff of the neck and should have too much reserve for the rest of these, who also look exposed themselves. Dabarpour is among those exposed opponents, and does not look to be improving any more. However, he has won off 5lb higher than this mark just over a year ago and can not be totally discounted, though we would prefer him to show a bit better form before we back him. Of the remainder, Feanor may well have a squeak after going up 7lb for a five length success at Southwell last time. Admittedly this looks tougher, but now he has had that confidence booster he should again go well and can make the frame. But Intox III is the most seasoned pro among these and can make that experience count, so he gets our vote.
