Verdict
It may be tempting fate to say it, but there surely can only be one winner here in Bodfari Creek, with the others running for second placed money, likely to be headed by Khayal. The selection will be attempting back-to-back wins after landing a course and distance success last month and with that confidence booster under his belt, plus a couple of other solid efforts before it, he looks comfortably the best on offer here, though his odds are likely to be prohibitive. Those wanting to oppose the favourite can surely only consider Khayal. One of two in the race for his trainer, the nine-year-old returns to hurdling from chasing, making his first appearance over the smaller obstacles since October 2001. That, coupled with the one-paced mature of his form makes him the clear second choice, while the others look no hopers in a race which should be taken by Bodfari Creek.
